About Michael Cassidy

Born on May 16, 1949, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Michael Cassidy is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose music reflects his personal American journey. With a wide-ranging eclectic spirit, he blends the elements of folk, rock, country, and blues.

Over the course of his career, Michael has released 11 albums spanning from 1976 to 2025, building a rich body of work that showcases both his artistry and versatility. His recordings have been released through Golden Lotus Records, Sony Music Entertainment, and Let the Cows Moo Music. He is also a member of MC and The Way Back.

Michael has performed at festivals, acoustic venues, and house concerts throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, connecting with audiences through his intimate performances and heartfelt songwriting. Notable appearances include NPR’s “Eklektikos” with John Aielli and Cactus Cafe in Austin, Texas, Sweetwater in Mill Valley, California, Kulak’s Woodshed in Los Angeles, California, and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Michael currently lives and plays at venues all over North Central Florida.

In 2009, Michael was a winner in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest for his song “Living in the San Joaquin.”
